BaneGaarden is looking for an energetic food stall manager

Do you want to help create and run sustainable food experiences in Copenhagen's green oasis and 'City's Best Urban Space 2021'?

The nine tree-lined streets between Vesterbro and Sydhavnen are currently undergoing extensive restoration and are now revitalised as an ecological village, green oasis and gastronomic hub. The barns house various activities, including catering kitchens, restaurants, parties and food stalls. Common to all is a focus on sustainability, ecology, high quality and good hospitality.

We are looking for a structured, positive and outgoing colleague to help run and optimise the BaneGaarden food stalls. As the Operations Manager, it will be your responsibility to lead a team of skilled staff across all days of the week with a positive, trusting and motivating approach. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating the day-to-day operation of our food stalls with a focus on, among other things, optimising wage and raw material percentages.
You will be involved in the operation and will have minor administrative tasks.

Your primary tasks and responsibilities will be:

- Ensure an overall attractive guest experience for all guests visiting the food stalls and BaneGaarden as a whole.

- Ensure profitable operation in the form of reasonable wage and raw material percentage in own food stalls (rosters, quantity management, etc.)

- Ensure compliance with all applicable food handling and hygiene standards.

- Communication to and with all food stall staff - ensuring the right help and support is in place to enable staff to perform at their best and thrive in our green environment.

- You need to be flexible. You will be working a mix of day and evening, including every other weekend - working hours are 37 hours/week.

Your profile:

- You are outgoing, enterprising, independent and creative - even when you have to run fast.

- You handle sudden challenges with a positive and solution-oriented approach - and keep the overview for operations and employees at all times.  

- Has a well-developed service gene and is passionate about great food experiences.

- Have experience from the F&B industry - it could be from a festival, restaurant, street food or something else - and it would be an advantage if you have knowledge of ingredients in a practical but also passionate way.

- You have an eye for detail, you're thorough and you know that even small things can make a big difference.

- Not afraid to "put on the work gloves" - your working day will be primarily "on the floor" and less so behind a computer.
