New dining experience opens in the historic greenhouses
Grobund at BaneGaarden - New social dining experience in historic greenhouses
With a view of treetops and open sky - in the middle of wild nature yet close to the city - Grobund opens at BaneGaarden. Under the iconic glass vaults of a 100-year-old greenhouse that once stood in the Botanical Gardens, guests are now invited to a unique dining experience with a focus on organic, seasonal produce and community.
The historic greenhouses were scheduled for demolition, but were saved at the last minute, moved and carefully restored. They were resurrected in the middle of BaneGaarden's wild garden in 2023 as an official UN Sustainable Development Goals pavilion, with the ambition to unite gastronomy and sustainability. In this setting, where plants once sprouted, new ideas now flourish - and a dining experience that celebrates both past and future.
Organic, seasonal and social dining
Grobund offers an organic 3-course menu that changes regularly and is composed of seasonal ingredients, with vegetables taking center stage.
Dinner is served as social dining, where guests gather at long tables and share both the food and the story behind the ingredients. With only one seating at 18:00 and room for 80 guests, an intimate and attentive atmosphere is created, where gastronomy and community come together.
As part of the ambition to create an informal atmosphere, it will be part of the concept that guests tap their own wine. The selection will consist of various organic wines from local supplier Vinhanen.
Grobund has a limited opening period until September, and with a limited number of seats it is recommended to book well in advance.
